can we really change the world? is God going to just wipe out the planet and start over with us? or are we called to partner with God (co-workers as paul puts it) to transform all of creation? i'm struggling with believing, yet i want to believe. i'm also struggling with the how part of it.
you want to struggle with me? (dec 10, week 411)

I personally don't think that God will wipe out the world. Doesn't that seem to go exactly against what what we see Jesus doing when he was on earth. When he was creating revolution through bringing in a new kingdom without force but in the strength of weakness. Yes, certainly it is time for us to join his kingdom, but what good is it to join if God is just going to destroy us. That does not sound like a king, I want to follow. Which again brings me many questions and uncertainties with the God of the Bible. Again this is bringing me around to thinking that the destruction that we see in the world is not a result of acts of God but evil in the world.
