i just want to assure everyone, that while i have been absent from the posting world, i am alive and well in the 3 dimensional (i think 5-6 dimensions actually, but that's another post) world.
let me just give you an update as to why i haven't been posting much recently. lillian dai is 7 weeks old now and we are just starting to find our rhythm in life now...for now. natural infant hygiene is still going remarkably well. it is much easier than we had anticipated and we have yet to buy diapers. as i said before, we use diapers throughout the night, for the most part, and there are still little misses here and there. but it has been a great way to commit to communicating with our daughter.
the week after we were blessed with seeing lillian, our home was placed on it's foundation. this has been huge for us. i'm 35 and i've rented all my life. i have been a poor partner with God in regards to caring for what i've been blessed with financially. within the last year dani and i have completely been transformed in regards to how we spend, save, and are able and will be able to spread the kingdom with our resources. it's hard to help the needy fiscally, on a continual basis, if we are the needy. we've never gone without food, and with the blessing of our incomes, we shouldn't ever have to. but we were living wasteful lives, squandering our resources on the temporary. that being said, we made some aggressive changes which we know are making a difference already. from spending more wisely, to working second and third jobs. one of those is changes is owning a home as an investment and a place to house people in our lives who at any given time do not have a home. we are committed to this and are excited to see the house going up.
i am the contractor on the job (modular, set and weathered). you should know i don't know anything about contracting, but i have a lot of friends and i'm learning as we go.
hey, i am responsible for the mentoring and discipleship of numerous students in our faith community. by that i mean i get paid to train and encourage their parents and those within our community to pour their lives into theirs and vice versa. thats my day job.
so i've been quite involved lately and i haven't been posting. never fear, i am present and reading my blogroll. i just haven't set posting as a high priority this month.
