be there if you're going to be there

i am a padre, father, priest, pastor, preach, etc. so on and so forth. we all have callings, some to blog, some to design... well you get what i'm saying. so part of my life is wearing clerical shirts and collars from time to time. this is fine too... bank tellers call me 'sir' and waiters are very attentive. good for me. the problem with these shirts however, is that they are usually so baggy that you end up looking like a parachute shirt wearing ren-fester right out of the 80's. so a friend hands me a business card of a company this friend knows who does 'custom clerical shirts'. PERFECT!!! i sat down at my computer immediately, typed in the address, and tadaaaa... 'under construction'. "i must have typed that in there wrong." let's try again... nada, zilch, zippie, nothin'. the next day i try to go there again only to find that the site is still 'under construction'.

where is that card now? in the trash. i won't go there again. they lost me. and thats all fine and dandy (who says that anymore?). who cares i won't be going there? they aren't bad people and i'm sure they probably do a great job with custom shirts. the thing is though, i was probably going to spend money there at some point and now i won't. please, please, please... don't give out your website to anyone if it's not ready. because i am ready. its like asking me out on a date and then standing me up. i won't go out with you again.

so if you say you're going to be there, be there.
