drew david is partnering with the church of the nazarene, in the major cities of germany, to plant churches that are located on boats on the waterways of these cities. much like casinos, there is low overhead and the churches are portable. this initiative, project noah, will be a partnership with the indigenous people of germany and students from all over the world.
"Project Noah is a body-before-building approach with the long-term goal to gather a team of church planters, purchase a boat, and dock at major cities along the Rhine for six months to a year at a time--long enough to...build up a local body in key areas of Germany. A core group and pastor will stay behind at each location, committed to building that church community where it is..."

This is very interesting. A group of believers travelling from place to place... making disciples... leaving some behind to help the new believers... taking some with them to continue spreading the good news... hmmm... I think I have heard of something similar to this in a book called Acts.

while i have been to some potential project noah sites and had extensive conversations with the pioneers... i have not been involved in the process as of yet.
however, drew is my brother-in-law and i imagine i will be involved helping in anyway i can in the future.
