dani (my wife) and i are on our way to portland area for a long-overdue vacation. we're in o'hare right now (8:14AM) and waiting for our second leg of the journey west. one of my closest friends is getting married and we thought we'd make this trip stretch out a bit and explore a part of the country that dani has never visited.
bonus...rick meigs and i are hoping to meet up and enjoy some food and conversation together. one of the beauties of the blogging community is when i get to meet up and have face to face interactions with new friends from the world wide web. this is a definite highlight of our trip.
